I completed my Speech-Language Pathology degree at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. When choosing a career, I knew that I wanted to help people, but I needed to find my right specialty. I thought about how I could help people of all ages and in a variety of settings. I looked into what being a Speech-Language Pathologist entailed, and I loved what I found. The opportunity to help people in every age population ranging from toddlers to older adulthood. Also, the ability to work in different settings and provide services to schools, hospitals, nursing facilities, home health, outpatient clinics, etc. I have learned what a joy it is to be able to help and learn from such an amazing and diverse group of people. Now, I have seen the benefits of also working with people online from the comfort of their own home and daily environment. Communication is an important skill that we all use daily in all aspects of our lives. The chance to help people improve their communication to meet their needs and feel confident in their daily routine is a dream come true.
When I am not working, I immerse myself in a variety of outdoor activities and sports. I love exploring Earth and nature under the water and high up in the mountains. A few activities I regularly enjoy are hiking, free diving, scuba diving, kitesurfing, and playing volleyball and soccer.

Nothing to do with me canceling, but one thing that I think can be done better, is Being ready before the meeting starts. I noticed through our process that the first 8-10 minutes of every session were spent reviewing the notes from the previous sessions and deciding what to teach next which 20 minutes of actual work with my son. In my opinion this made me feel like we were "winging" it on every class and following no true plan for overall Goals to achieve or metrics on how he is progressing. Food for thought - Prepare before the time starts, provide feedback to parents on Goals achieved and what the plan looks like. What are we targeting month by month. Overall experience what good, and you managed to keep my son Engaged during the process which I know is hard on a Zoom call. Thank you for your Service.

There are so many benefits of receiving speech and language therapy through face-to-face video conferencing. Clients learn best in the environment they’re most comfortable, and families love the flexibility of scheduling therapy around their life. All you need to get started is a modern, internet-connected device (like a computer or tablet).
As an online provider, there’s no need to pay overhead, insurance, or rent for some fancy building - all of which drive up your costs. We’re able to pass these savings down to you. That means you can now receive high quality and affordable therapy without dealing with the headaches of insurance companies.
