I first learned about speech-language pathology when touring prospective colleges my senior year of high school. I loved that the profession integrated science into helping people with diverse communication needs. I was extremely excited to learn that I could specialize and work with people of all ages, as well as serve diverse communities in a variety of settings. Upon completing my masters program, I became a nationally certified bilingual speech-language pathologist with experience providing school-based therapy to children ages 3 through the 18 years, and served the adult population within the acute rehab setting. Most of my career has been working to serve our bilingual (Spanish–English) children and families with speech and language impairments.
I love spending time with my family and friends, going to and watching sporting events (Go White Sox!), as well as traveling.
