Hello! My name is Kristin Klanecky. I am originally from Nebraska, and I have now lived in Pennsylvania for over two years. My interest in becoming a speech-language pathologist began when I was overcoming my own speech disfluency as a child. Growing up, my mother worked as a teacher for students with special needs, and one of her friends was a speech-language pathologist. The therapist taught me fluency shaping tools that I still use today (pausing, easing into phrases, slowing down my speech). Although I did not formally receive services, the empowerment that I felt when taking control of my communication has always been at the forefront of my mind. From this meaningful experience, I learned the importance of empathy and advocating for clients to promote skill development and confidence no matter what barriers are present.

Outside of being a speech-language pathologist, my interests include spending time with my friends, family, and two dogs. The more time outside in the sunshine, the better! I love gardening, running, biking, and hiking. However, I also enjoy cuddling up with a good book.

Absolutely! Research has shown that online speech therapy is just as effective as traditional therapy delivered at a clinic. In addition, many families find the flexibility of online speech therapy more convenient.
Parents and caregivers are included in every session. When treating young children, our speech therapists coach parents and caregivers to support progress and promote at-home skill building throughout the week. During online sessions, young children interact predominantly with their families, while therapists provide education, strategies, and feedback so that parents can confidently practice outside of the session.
For school-age and older kids, parents are consistently updated on progress and goal outcomes during each meeting.
Definitely! We offer flexible hours - mornings, nights, and weekends - so that our adult customers can fit speech therapy into their busy lives.
