About me

Hi! I'm Heather. I am a mind-body integrative voice therapist, specializing in gender-affirming and trauma-informed voice. In addition to my licensure and certification in speech-language pathology, I am a certified vocologist from the National Center for Voice and Speech, Certified Contemporary Voice Teacher, Certified Transformational Coach and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and Registered Yoga Teacher. With over 20 years of vocal performance experience, I became interested in the field of speech-language pathology through my own vocal journey, recovery, and healing. I became a speech-language pathologist in 2018, and have worked across a variety of settings, including private practice, teletherapy, schools, and medical centers. My approach connects the mind, body, and voice to help clients uncover their most authentic voice and heal themselves through love and self-compassion.

Heather is an excellent speech therapist, she has helped me find my authentic voice which I am very happy with, despite not even being done. She has helped me immensely and I am very appreciative.

Heather Gross was awesome!! I worked with her for 1.5 years and came out with a much more positive outlook on my communication skills. She's patient and works with you to figure out the therapy style that works best for you. She's extremely calm as well and it was delightful working with her over the past 1.5 years. I'm graduating to a no-therapist regime now and am looking forwrad to this next chapter in my life. Thank you Heather and Expressable for creating such an impactful experience for me! :)

Well informed and empathic

It was a thorough evaluation including my medical history, my experience with speech therapy, words I struggle with, dysphoria I experience from my voice and figuring out my starting range. I felt understood and listened to throughout the session. I also appreciate the explanation beyond the methods and techniques in addition to being given some tools and things to work on.
